Dr. Robert Welborn
Dr. Robert Welborn completed his B.A. in history at
Clemson University(1968) and his M.A. (1971) and Ph.D.
(1978) in history at the University of South Carolina.
He has taught at Clayton State since 1973 and was
appointed in 2004 as the college's first Director of
International Education.
Dr. Welborn initiated Clayton State's involvement
with study abroad programs in 1998 when he was selected
by the European Council to teach in its London program.
He served as Director of the London program in 2001,
taught in the Italy program in 1999 and 2000 and has
served as Director of the Italy program in 2002, 2003
and 2004. He has recruited over 120 Clayton State
students to study abroad and also recruited a dozen
other Clayton State faculty to teach abroad. |
