Clayton State University Office of Admissions

Freshman

Admission to Clayton is selective. We are seeking to admit students who will be successful in a rigorous classroom environment. If you are or will graduate from an accredited high school and have been out of high school for less than five years or you have attended college after graduating from high school and earned less than 30 semester hours of transferable college credit, you may apply for admission to Clayton State University as a Freshman.

Clayton State practices "rolling admission." This means your application will be reviewed and an admission decision made once all of your credentials are received.

Admission is based on the following:

  • Strength of high school curriculum (including senior year).
  • Successful completion of the 16 CPC units and graduate with a College Prep Diploma.
  • Performance as measured by grades in the CPC courses.
  • SAT or ACT scores.
