IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS IN F-1 STATUS
Students who have been admitted to Clayton State and are currently enrolled at a U.S. high school or college/university must submit the Transfer Clearance Form for F-1 Visa Holders.
F-1 Students must be enrolled as full-time students. This means a minimum of twelve-semester hour per term. After being in full time status for nine months an F-1 student may take a vacation term. Most students take this break during the summer.
Students in F-1 status may work on-campus for fewer than twenty hours per week while classes are in session and forty hours per week during vacation periods. Unfortunately, employment with the Delta Airlines Reservation Center is not considered on-campus employment.
F-1 students planning to leave the US for a vacation period must make sure that their immigration documents are in order. If you have been at Clayton State University for more than one semester, please contact Ms. Myers in the Registrar’s Office before you leave the US. A little attention to paperwork before you depart will facilitate your reentry to the US.
