Required Materials for International Transfer
International transfer students are required to submit the same credentials as domestic applicants. All documents must be submitted in English. If the credentials must be translated, the original copy (or a certified copy of the original) must be submitted along with the translation. If original transcripts or academic certificates are not available certified copies must be presented. All transcripts (whether originals or copies) must be officially certified and sent directly by the educational institution or certified by the appropriate embassy. Photocopies will not be accepted.
Required Materials:

- Submit the non-refundable application fee. You will need to use a credit card to apply online. If you apply online before the Priority Deadline, the application fee is only $15. If you apply after the Priority Deadline or if you apply using the paper application, the fee is $40
- Certificate of Immunization.
- *Official College transcript with a certified translation. Recommended translation and evaluation agencies:
- Results from the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Test), if you have less than 30 transferable credits from an accredited college or university. You must also submit *official secondary school transcript as well.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency:
- **TOEFL score of 550 or higher, 213 on the new computer TOEFL examination, or 79 in the new internet-based TOEFL exam
- Completion of Level 109 at ELS Language Center
- Grade of "C" or better in composition and rhetoric from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university
- Two years of regular English taken in a U.S. high school with grades of "C" or better
- For students studying in the U.S. on an F-1 Visa - you must submit the Transfer Clearance Form for F-1 Visa Holders
*Academic records should include all secondary and/or postsecondary study, subjects studied and grades earned, and must bear the official seal of the institution attended. Academic records should be sent to Clayton State University by the institution responsible for issuing such documents. Certifications must be made by the proper institutional officer, the Ministry of Education of the home country or a binational center.
Applicants must identify every university/postsecondary institution where enrolled and submit documents from the institution, regardless of the age of the information, academic performance, or political/bureaucratic situation in the home country. Failure to do so is cause for denial or dismissal.
**Information concerning test dates and testing sites may be obtained by contacting TOEFL, Box 899, Princeton, New Jersey 08541, USA. Applicants who have completed English Composition with a grade of C or better at an accredited institution in the U.S are not required to submit TOEFL scores.
