Clayton State University Academic Advisement Mission Statement
The mission of the Advisement Centers at Clayton
State University is to provide academic support for CSU
students. Each Center is staffed by Academic Advisors
who provide clarification of academic requirements and
serve as a resource to encourage students to become
knowledgeable about campus resources and academic
practices.
In an effort to help students become connected to
Clayton State University, the Academic Advisors:
*Introduce students to the wide range of services and educational opportunities at Clayton State University.
*Provide students with information on academic policies, procedures, and programs of the School/College.
*Assist students in exploring the possible short and long-range consequences of their choices.
*Assist students in choosing educational and career objectives commensurate with their interests and abilities.
*Promote good decision making skills and student self
direction.
