State Alumni Association to hold 15th Annual
Dinner at CNN Center’s Omni Hotel
Morrow, GA –
March 22, 2007 – Clayton State
University alumni and friends will be in store for an
evening of sparkle at the Crystal Anniversary of the Alumni
Association’s Annual Meeting & Dinner on Saturday, April 14th.
The event will be held at the Omni Hotel’s
Grand Ballroom at CNN Center in downtown Atlanta.
The Alumni
Association will also hold a silent auction and recognize
its 2007 Distinguished &
Outstanding Alumni Award winners. The first Alumni Meeting
and Dinner was held in 1993 at Clayton State.
“This
is a time to celebrate the achievements of our alumni, and
we are going all out with dinner and dancing at the
beautiful Omni Hotel,” said Association President Dina
Swearngin. “This has always been a special time for our
friends and University family to get together and reacquaint
themselves to each other and to the exciting growth and
development of Clayton State.”
By
holding this year’s dinner in Atlanta, the Alumni
Association hopes that the more convenient location will
give more alumni throughout the metropolitan area the
opportunity to attend the event.
Bert
Lewyn, author of Holocaust Memoirs: On the Run in Nazi
Berlin, will speak at the 15th Annual Meeting
and Dinner.
Lewyn’s book is about his life as a Jewish
