power will not be available. We are encouraging all student
organizations to participate for the entire duration of the
event.

Student Involvement Fair and Organization Showcase
The Organization Showcase
will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
on the James M. Baker University Center front plaza.
The Organization Showcase is for student organizations
that would like to present their group to the campus community
by putting on a performance. To participate in the Organization
Showcase groups must: (1) be recognized by the Department of
Campus Life for the 2008 – 2009 academic year, and (2) submit an
Student Involvement Fair and Organization Showcase registration
form. The deadline to register is Tuesday, August 19 at 5:00 pm.
Due to time constraints, each student organization will be
allotted a maximum of seven (7) minutes to perform. This
includes all set-up, performance, and break down (some rules
apply).
Performances must be in good taste. If your performance requires
music, it needs to be clean and edited for language and content.
If you are using a CD (audio or visual) for your performance, it
must be submitted to the Department of Campus Life by 5:00 pm on
Tuesday, August 19 for review. Lastly, each group will be
required to meet with the Department of Campus Life on
Wednesday, August 20 at 3:00 pm to discuss the stage and area
layout, any special performance requirements and music (if
applicable).
Performing organizations will be expected to stay for the entire
duration of the showcase. Check-in for the Organization Showcase
will begin at 5:30 pm on August 21.
