Qualifications
A Peer Mentor must be a currently enrolled, undergraduate Clayton State University Students who will have successfully completed at least 30 Clayton State credit hours by the application deadline.
Peer Mentors should be in good academic standing, have maintained at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. and be in good disciplinary standing.
The P.A.T.H. Peer Mentor Program and the Center for Academic Success are looking for individuals who are representative of the diversity of the Clayton State community in their experiences, interests and academic pursuits. Peer Mentor candidates should possess a variety of qualities that include, but are not limited to:
- A desire to work with new students, faculty and staff
- A strong desire to help other students succeed
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact well with others in both group and individual settings
- A good awareness of Clayton State University resources
- A willingness to take initiative
- Pride in being a successful Clayton State University student
- Ability to problem solve
- A willingness to learn
