Welcome from the Director
Welcome to the Center for Academic Success (CAS) at Clayton State University. We are your one-stop academic support center for personalized academic services and resources designed to assist you in achieving your academic goals. You can find us on the lower level of the library. Our motto is “Helping ALL Clayton State Students Reach Their Academic Potential”. We know you have the ability to be a successful student, but we can help you explore ways to study “smarter” and navigate through our challenging courses.
Our dedicated staff and well-qualified peer tutors serve over one-third of the Clayton State student population each academic year. These students have taken advantage of our many services such as peer tutoring in over 60 different courses, drop-in math and writing assistance, study groups, academic success workshops, study strategy assessments, and computerized software programs. We also stock a variety of textbooks and study strategy handout tips. In addition, we offer a peer mentor program for new first-time college students and academic advising for Learning Support and Provisionally Admitted Students.
Students feel our services have positively impacted their grades and continued academic success. If you need a service that we currently do not provide or have any questions or concerns, please contact me personally through email or stop by my office in the CAS. I hope to see you in the CAS!
