Dr. Christine Smith

Christine Smith is the Director of Counseling Services is a Licensed Psychologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University, her master's degree from Appalachian State University, and her doctoral degree from Ball State University.  Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, eating disorders, sexual abuse and assault, and self-esteem.

Shiraz Karaa

Shiraz Karaa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Associate Director of Counseling Services.   Her professional areas of interest include personality development and culture, anxiety disorders, sexual abuse and assault, substance abuse, interpersonal relationships, and self-esteem.

Elaina Chance

Elaina C. Chance is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Assistant Director of Outreach and Prevention. Her Master of Education in Counseling Education is from Georgia Southern University. Her professional areas of interest include: self-esteem, racial identities, domestic violence, healthy interpersonal relationships, and spirituality.

Wayne Strother

Wayne Strother is an Assistant Director of Counseling Services and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His professional areas of interest include personality and  development, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, anxiety disorders and differentiation of self. He enjoys working with diverse student populations.

Roxanne Dilbeck

Roxanne Dilbeck is the Administrative Assistant for Counseling Services. She obtained a Certificate in Office Assisting from Clayton State University. She has eleven years front office experience, in Counseling & Career Services. Her professional areas of interest include: webpage design and maintenance, data entry, working with students, and other clerical duties.

Keisha Tanner

Keisha Tanner received an undergraduate degree in Business from Georgia State University.  As a student she worked in the office of Student Support Services assisting student populations at risk for dropping out of college.  She is currently working as a Graduate Counseling Intern at Clayton State.  She will complete her degree in the summer of 2009.  Her career goals are to continue working in a university setting.  She would like to specialize in working with clients needing assistance in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, assertiveness, spirituality and career counseling.
