Accommodation Appointment

Students must make an Accommodation Appointment every semester to use their testing accommodations. At the accommodation appointment students will be given letters addressed to each of their professors that state what accommodations they are approved to use. We strongly encourage students to make appointments with professors to give them the letter, discuss and set up your accommodations for each class. It is not an acceptable practice to just hand the professor the letter before or after class. This leads to a bad first impression and does not facilitate clear communication between the student and the professor. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure the professor understands his/her responsibilities in making sure accommodations are met. During the meeting with the professor, a student needs to discuss how s/he would like to work out testing accommodations and explore options with the professor if there are back to back classes.
