Disburse Your Financial Aid

AFTER YOU HAVE REGISTERED AND BEEN AWARDED FINANCIAL AID, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO DISBURSE YOUR FINANCIAL AID AWARD TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

Go to http://www.clayton.edu and click on the DUCK under Registration or go directly to http://duck.clayton.edu.

If you have difficulty logging onto the DUCK, contact the HUB at (678) 466-4357, http://thehub.clayton.edu/, or e-mail TheHub@clayton.edu. Your password cannot be changed by an email or phone request. To have your password changed or reset, you must go to the HUB and show a picture ID.

Disburse Your Financial Aid Funds

  • Program regulations now require students to authorize the use of HOPE funds towards payment of additional expenses such as parking and mandatory fees. If you are eligible for HOPE and you wish to use any excess funds to cover fees, you must authorize Clayton State to apply your HOPE award to cover these charges.
  • If HOPE book funds are available and have not been authorized, the authorization page will appear immediately upon logging onto the Duck. Click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. Click "Submit" again to verify. You do not have to come to the Financial Aid Office after you complete this process.
  • To disburse your funds:
    • Log on to the DUCK
    • "Main Menu"
    • "Academic and Financial Information for Students"
    • "Registration"
    • "Build Your Class Schedule"
    • Return to "Registration"
    • "How Much Do I Owe?"
    • Select the term and click "Submit"

If a faculty/staff member registered you, it is still your responsibility to log on to the DUCK and click on “How Much Do I Owe?” It is this process that disburses your financial aid awards to your student account. You do not have to come to the Financial Aid Office after you complete this process.

Review the “Registration Fee Assessment” page for Tuition and Fee charges and Anticipated Financial Aid. This summary will outline your charges, available aid, and give a current balance at the bottom of the page. If you owe a balance after your financial aid has been credited to your account, you must pay this balance by the published fee payment deadline.
