Move-in
Move-in
begins on Thursday, August 13, 2009--check for your assigned
time. If you cannot move in at your assigned time, you may
contact the office in order to move in between 10:00am and
4:00pm on August 15th or August 16th. Upon
arrival, please proceed to our first floor “Check-In Area” to
pick up your keys and complete the required move-in paperwork.
While you are checking in, please
have any helpers you will have begin the unloading process. You
will be given a 20 minute unloading parking pass upon arrival,
which will allow you to use the rear traffic circle as a
loading/unloading area. Once you are finished unloading, you
will be asked to move your car to the general parking area to
accommodate other residents as they move in.
Helpful tips for move-in day:
Floor
Meetings
All residents will be
required to attend a mandatory floor meeting with their
Resident Assistant on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 8:00pm.
Room
Condition Reports
At time of check in, you will
be given a room condition report form already filled out by
our staff. This form documents the condition of your room at
move-in for billing purposes. You will have the opportunity
to review and sign this form at move-in.
Telecommunications
Laker Hall provides local
telephone service in each kitchenette. Each bedroom (along
with the living room) is equipped with a cable connection
and a high speed internet connection. Laker Hall does not
supply cables for these devices so please bring the
appropriate cords and accessories. HUB support
representatives will be available throughout the day on
Thursday, August 13th to assist with the wireless internet
registration process and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
After Thursday the HUB services will be available at the
University Center on a walk-in basis.
