Circulation

Policies

ClaytonState University faculty may check out an unlimited number of circulating books. The faculty loan period expires at the end of each semester. A valid Laker card must be presented in order to check out items. Faculty members are not charged late fees.  However, faculty members or their department will be billed for the replacement cost of lost or damaged library materials.

Reference books and periodicals may be checked out for two (2) days. Faculty may check out audio-visual materials to prepare for class or for personal use with no limit on the number of AV items for the duration of a semester.

There are two book deposits. One is located inside the library at the circulation desk. The other is located outside the front of the library for use during those times when the building is closed. Audio-visual items should be returned inside the library.

Any faculty employed in one of the University System of Georgia or ARCHE institutions may check out books from another institution in the system by presenting a valid interlibrary use or a valid university photo I.D. The interlibrary use card must be obtained from the library of the institution where the faculty is employed. CSU faculty members may obtain an interlibrary use card by contacting the Reference department, (678) 466-4346.
