What is GIL Express?

What is the difference between GIL Express and Interlibrary Loan?

Who is eligible for GIL Express, and what items are eligible to circulate through GIL Express?

How do I keep track of my GIL Express books?  How will I know if my request is filled, and what do I do if it isn’t?

How do I renew my GIL Express books?

What happens if I have overdue GIL Express books?

Where do I return my GIL Express books?

Are the GIL Express policies (fines, loans, etc.) the same as those at Clayton State Library?

How do I keep track of my GIL Express books?  How will I know if my request is filled, and what do I do if it isn’t?

Monitor your online "My Account" information in GIL.

If the lending library is able to send the item, your request will go to a status of "In transit" while the item is on its way.

When your  item is available for you to pick up, it will show in your "My Account" information as an item available, and you will receive a notice by email or phone.

If the lending library is unable to send the item, your request will go to a status of "Not filled." If this happens, and more than one library owns the item, try your request again.

If no other libraries in the Universal Catalog own the item, submit your request through Interlibrary Loan.
