An informative site that was created to be the Paraprofessionals first line of finding resources. This site is meant to complement and supplement the Library Support Staff Resource Center Site. This site should be a one stop directory of sites that will provide links to find easy access to the information that we need for our jobs.

Technicians [COLT]
Since 1967, COLT, an affiliate of the American Library Association, has addressed the issues of concern to library support staff personnel. The issues cover areas such as technical education, continuing education, certification, job description uniformity, and the more elusive goals of gaining recognition and respect for the very professional work that we do.
The American Library Association site has conference information, organizational information, ALA guides, a bookstore and shopping area, and much more. ALA also hosts the Support Staff Interests Round Table (SSIRT) at http://www.ala.org/ssirt/.
Internet Library for Librarians
This is a commercial site with advertisements from various vendors. It was started in 1994 and is one of the most comprehensive directories for web sites on libraries and librarianship on the net. There is a page of resources for support staff at: http://www.itcompany.com/inforetriever/staff.htm
