Students, faculty or staff may request rush processing for materials which are needed
quickly. This policy applies to both materials needed for instructional support and those
desired for personal interests. If at all possible, materials will be available within two
working days of the receipt of the request for rush processing.
Materials that qualify for rush processing will normally be marked either
"Received" or "Temporarily shelved in Cataloging" in the on-line
catalog. Materials that are marked "On order" cannot be rush processed. In other
words, the materials must be here in order for us to be able to "rush" them. If
there is an urgent need for an item that is marked "On order", please contact
the Acquisition Assistant at extension 3651.
The faculty member or student should fill out and submit the
following Rush Request Form. This form is also available at the Circulation Desk in the Library. The faculty
member or student will be notified as soon as the book is cataloged, processed, and
available for check out.
