Copying and Printing

Photocopies

The library has 2 photocopiers and copies cost 10 cents each. Photocopies must be made with a Laker card. Guests who do not have a Laker card will need to purchase a guest card in order to make photocopies. The Laker guest card costs $1.00 and is available for purchase in the library.  Additional funds must be added to the guest card to pay for the copies. Funds are automatically deducted from the balance available on the card for each copy made.

SmartPrint

A SmartPrint printer is available in the library. Print jobs sent from laptops or GALILEO terminals via the campus network can be printed on the library SmartPrint printer. SmartPrint copies must be paid for with a Laker card. A Laker ValueTransfer Station is available in the library to add funds to a Laker account or check account balances. Guests may purchase a Guest Card for $1.00 if they wish to print from GALILEO terminals. Additional funds need to be added to the guest card to pay for printing. Funds are automatically deducted from the balance available on the card for each page printed (.10 cents per page).

Microfilm/Printer/Readers

Three microfilm printer/readers are available in the library. These machines make copies from microfilm reels and from microfiche. Copies cost 10 cents per page and must be paid for with dimes. Change can be obtained at the Circulation Desk.

Change

Generally the library has a ready supply of dimes for the microfilm printer/readers. Change for large bills may not be available. Please try to bring one dollar bills if you will need change.

Typewriters & Word Processing

No typewriters are available in the library. The library has no computers for word processing. Since GALILEO terminals do not have word processing capability, documents needing Microsoft Office products cannot be printed from via GALILEO terminals.
