Library Instruction

Purpose

The purpose of Library instruction is to introduce students to the resources, materials, and services available in the Clayton State Library and to assist them in using these resources. In addition to general introductory classes that are routinely offered each semester, the librarians will tailor classes for specialized courses. Faculty members may contact Yalonda Carson, coordinator of library instruction through e-mail or at (678) 466-4330. Classes may also be scheduled by completing the Library Instruction Request Form. A minimum of two weeks notice is needed when scheduling a class.

In addition to formal classes, the Library provides instruction through Reference Desk services, virtual assistance through Ask the Library meebo, information provided by librarians on their web pages, and How to Guides. See the links below to find out more.
