Finding Books
GIL@CSU -
books,
videos, CDs at the Clayton State University Library
GIL Universal
Catalog: The GIL Universal Catalog allows you
to search libraries across the University System of Georgia.
If you find a book you need, you can request it using GIL
Express and have it delivered to a participating library
near your home or workplace, including
the Peachtree City Campus.
Finding
Articles
GALILEO
- provides access to over 100
databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly
journals. Over 2000 journal titles are provided in full-text.
Other resources include encyclopedias, business directories, and
government publications. In order to
access GALILEO off campus, you must have a password. If
you have previously used your
Laker card to check out
library materials, you
can find the
password online
using Get the GALILEO password feature on
GIL@CSU,
the online catalog. If you have not, please call the
library at (678) 466-4345 to get the current semester password.
Other Databases
- Some databases require a user
ID and password when accessed from off-campus.
Currently enrolled CSU students, faculty and staff may
call the library at

REQUESTING MATERIALS
For Books
at Clayton State:
Go to
GIL@CSU
and follow the tutorial to request books that you might need for
your research. Please remember to choose Peachtree City as
your pick-up location.
Items may
be picked up at the Reception Desk of the Peachtree Center
Location
Monday through Friday during the following hours:
Monday,
Tuesday and Thursday - 9 am to 7 pm
Wednesday and Friday - 9 am to 5 pm
GIL Express:
Use
GIL Express
to order books from any library in the University System of
Georgia. You can have the books delivered to a participating
library nearby for pickup and, when finished,
return
them to any University System of Georgia Library including
the Peachtree City Campus or the main campus of Clayton

Interlibrary Loan:
To Request articles and books not found in
the Universal Catalog, go to the Interlibrary
Loan Homepage for article and book request forms.
Article
Delivery:
The Interlibrary Loan office can
provide copies of journal articles and
book chapters from a title held in the
Clayton State University Library Collection. These titles
can be found in the Clayton State University
Catalog (GIL@CSU)
and can be ordered via the ILL/photocopy
request form.
These articles will be scanned and
delivered to your desktop.
Articles and chapters from journals and books not owned by
the library can be ordered from other libraries.
To make a request, fill out the
request form.
Any questions can be directed to
the Interlibrary Loan office.
Please plan ahead, as it may take up to a week or more for the
article to reach you.
