Landscape Management

The Landscape Management Department maintains 163 acres of main campus and five acres of satellite facility (Aviation Maintenance) in South Jonesboro. Their responsibility encompasses mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, monitoring of landscape renovation and construction.  In addition, this department also provides event setup and moving services for campus functions.

Landscape Management

The campus is divided into five zones for landscape maintenance purposes. Work is concentrated in one zone per day to maximize productivity. The goal is to do substantial maintenance in each area of campus so that the entire campus gets some attention every week. The zone map is only a guide, since holidays and inclement weather cause the zone schedule to be modified frequently.

The department also performs about 85% of the tree work, with the remainder contracted to a local tree service.
