New Student Convocation
The New Student Convocation is an exciting time when faculty, staff and all new students assemble to mark the beginning of a new academic year. The ceremony is created to formally welcome new students into the Clayton State community. Guest speakers are invited to offer encouraging words to students as they embark on their transition into college life. Past speakers have included Atlanta City Council President, Lisa Borders, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, and former congressman, Wyche Fowler.
