Placement Testing Information
TRADITIONAL FRESHMAN
Students classified as a traditional freshman or joint-enrolled are required to take the Math Placement Test, the Accuplacer, regardless of SAT/ACT scores. Clayton State University requires the Accuplacer to test for readiness for college-level math and math-related courses.

NONTRADITIONAL FRESHMAN
Student classified as nontraditional are required to take one or more parts of the COMPASS in Math, Reading, and English. Contact your Admissions Counselor at (678) 466-4115 for more information regarding your testing status.
TRANSFER STUDENT
Transfer Students who have not completed college level math are required to take the ACCUPLACER. Contact an Admissions Counselor at (678) 466-4115, to determine your testing status.
You must have successfully completed your testing before you can attend orientation. However, register in advance for orientation.
