University RideShare Program at Clayton State University

The University RideShare Program is a unit within the Department of Public Safety and is 80 percent funded by a reimbursable program from the Atlanta Regional Commission. The goal of the program is to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles driven to campus, reduce Smog, and help the air quality.

Employees and students are encouraged to register with 1-87-RIDEFIND to find a carpool match. Clayton State's University RideShare is a program in cooperation with Atlanta Regional Commission that promotes university carpooling and provides a regional ridematching service.

Applications are accepted on-line at www.187RIDEFIND.com, by calling 1-87-RIDEFIND, by fax, or by stopping by Clayton State University Public Safety and completing an application. For more information, call Clayton State University Public Safety at (678) 466-4050. Clayton State University employees and students who complete a 1-87-RIDEFIND application, can get a free sign-up gift (while supplies last).

In addition, if employees or students carpool (two or more people in one vehicle), these carpoolers are eligible for a monthly drawing for free gifts. To be eligible for drawings, you must be registered with 1-87-RIDEFIND, remain on their match list, AND complete a Clayton State University carpool application form in Public Safety (Student Center, Room 207) or print out a copy from Word. Drawings are held during the first week of each month and winners will be notified by e-mail.

Employees, who are registered with 1-87-RIDEFIND, work at Clayton State University and use alternative transportation, are eligible for 1-87-RIDEFIND's Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH)--students are not eligible.

For more information, contact Public Safety at (678) 466-4050.
