Student Programs
University RideShare Programs for
students at Clayton State University.
Employees
and students are encouraged to register with RideSmart
to find carpool partners. Students are matched with other students who have
similar schedules using the RideSmart database.
University RideShare is a grant-sponsored program of the Atlanta
Regional Commission that promotes university carpooling, alternate
transportation, and provides a regional ride matching service through
1-87-RIDEFIND. The purpose is to increase transportation system efficiency,
reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality.
Applications
are accepted on-line at https://www.MyRideSmart.com, by calling RideSmart (1-877-433-3463), printing out a Clayton
State University RideShare application,
or you can stop by Clayton State University Public Safety and complete an
application. For more information, call Public Safety at (678) 466-4050. Public
Safety is located in the Student Center Building, Room 207 and is open 24 hours
a day all year round.
When you
complete a University RideShare application, you can receive
a free
sign-up gift (while supplies last).
Monthly Carpool Drawings.
In addition
if you carpool, two or more people in one vehicle to and from Clayton State,
you might be eligible for the monthly drawings for
free gifts.
To be
eligible, you must have registered with MyRideSmart , completed a Clayton State University carpool application
that is available in Public Safety, or print out a copy from Word,
and carpool at least one time a week. Drawings are held during
the first week of each month and winners will be notified by e-mail.
