- The Regents’ Testing Program at Clayton State University
(CSU)
Clayton State University details campus policies for the Regents’ Testing Program in its Academic Catalog.
This section, which begins on page 66 in the Fall 2008 Academic Catalog, also tells which students are required to take the Regents' Test and which students are exempt from taking the Regents' Test.
- Registration and Administration of the Regents’ Test in
the Testing Center
The Testing Center, located in the lower level of CSU’s Library, administers the Regents’ Test each semester. Students are required to register for the Regents’ Test and to follow the Testing Center’s procedures for taking the test.
Information about Regents’ Test registration and testing for Spring Semester 2009 is at http://adminservices.clayton.edu/testingcenter/Regents.htm.
- Student Preparation for the Regents’ Test
Before taking the Regents’ Test, students should read the policies, procedures, and guidelines in numbers 1, 2, and 3 above. In addition, they should prepare for the test by reviewing the available practice materials and attending a Regents’ Test Preparation Workshop.
If students review these materials thoroughly and attend a Regents’ Test Preparation Workshop, they have a better chance of passing the Regents’ Test and not having to take a skills course (RGTR 0198 or RGTE 0199) in a subsequent semester of enrollment.
Review materials for the Regents’ Test:
- To prepare for the Regents' Test, students should review the Online Regents' Preparation PowerPoint.
- Students required to take the Regents' Essay Test should read the booklet "How to Pass the Georgia Regents' Essay Examination," which is available at this link: http://a-s.clayton.edu/walkup/howtopassrev2.pdf.
The schedule for Regents’ Test Preparation Workshops for Spring Semester 2009 is available in this link: workshopschedulesp09.doc.
