So you’ve retired. Now what? No more getting up with an alarm clock, no more committee meetings, and no more eating lunch at our desks. It’s time to restructure our time in this new phase of our life. Do what we want, when we want, and with whom we want. That last one might be the catch, though, because many of our friends are still working. So while it might be time to spend more time with family, it’s also a good time to connect with other Clayton State retirees. And that’s why the CSRA exists: to give us the momentum and means for staying in contact with former colleagues from our days at Clayton State. The mission of CSRA is to represent the interests and welfare of retirees and help us continue living friend-filled lives. As The Last Lecture author Randy Pausch says, “When we’re connected to others, we become better people.”
