Mission Statement
The Department of Human Resources will serve as a partner in support of the university’s mission to provide leadership in the areas of teaching, research, and public service.
The Department of Human Resources will take a leadership role in providing services that support the concept that our employees are our most valuable resource and will be treated as such.
Our mission is to establish an optimal work environment to facilitate the professional and personal growth of our faculty and staff.
We will work to sustain high productivity, continuous improvement, organizational renewal, and exceptional customer service.
In addition, the Human Resources staff will work with university administrators and staff to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to personnel issues and affirmative action.

| Individual interviews will be scheduled with staff to ensure that the consultants understand the duties, responsibilities, and other provisions of each staff position as detailed in the Position Questionnaire. |
| Following those interviews the consultants will return to discuss preliminary classification recommendations with management. |
| Benchmark positions will be identified and a customized market survey will be developed. This survey will be sent to other organizations that comprise the market against which the University wishes to compete |
