Who should apply for graduation
All students who will be completing a program of study must apply for graduation by the appropriate deadline. You must apply for graduation regardless of whether you will be participating in the commencement ceremony or not.
How to Apply
- Obtain a graduation application from the academic department of your major. Some academic departments have the graduation application on their website. Please check with the department of your major on how to obtain a graduation application.
- Submit your completed graduation application and the $35.00 graduation application fee by the deadline listed below to the Office of the Registrar in STC-239. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- We strive to give each student accurate and timely feedback. You will receive your graduation evaluation from the Registrar’s Office as soon as possible. This process may take up to four months. The earlier you turn your application in, the faster our response will be. Please continue to monitor your student email account. All correspondence from the Office of the Registrar will be sent to your CSU student email account.
Key points to remember
- Because applications are reviewed in the order they are received, the sooner you submit your application, the sooner you will receive a response. We encourage you not to wait until the last minute to submit your application. Applications for future terms may be submitted at any time up until the deadline.
- Any deviation or substitution from what is printed in the catalog as a requirement for your degree/certificate must be approved in writing by your academic department and dean. Please click here if you need to print a course substitution from. Course substitutions are the responsibility of the student. The Office of the Registrar will not facilitate a course substitution.

Who is eligible?
Students who complete degree requirements summer and fall 2009 are eligible to participate in the ceremony. Graduates who elect not to participate in this ceremony will not be eligible to walk in a future ceremony unless they earn a new degree.
Diplomas

We will be conducting final audits of all graduates in the weeks following commencement. Diplomas will be available in approximately 8 weeks. You will be notified via your CSU student email account and USPS mail when your diploma is ready.
Photographs
