Women's Forum Scholarships
The Clayton State Women's Forum announces their 6th Annual Scholarship Competition for 2009. Scholarship opportunities are as follows:

  1. Women’s Forum General Student Scholarship @ $1000. One or more students will be awarded Need-Based Scholarships (each for $1000). Though students have access to financial aid, often times this is not enough. Since many of Clayton State’s students are non-traditional, many have trouble with basic expenses such as childcare, transportation, laptop computers, calculators, and more. The $1000 would be used to assist scholarship recipients in meeting these expenses. All applicants must be female and must be a student who has completed at least one semester at Clayton State and have at least two semesters remaining before graduation. The application deadline is the Monday after the week of Spring Break during Spring Semester.

  2. Women’s Forum Student Success Emergency Scholarship @ up to $1000. This scholarship would be available for students who are within two semesters of completing her program, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and have a sudden emergency during a semester (documentation to support the emergency must be provided) that would prevent her from continuing to attend classes without some financial assistance. The maximum amount a student could receive would be $1000. All applicants must be female and must be a student who is within two semesters of graduation and must have applied for graduation. This scholarship is given on an “as needed” and “as funds are available” basis. There is no deadline; however, once all the designated funds are used, no other “emergency” scholarships will be available.

  3. Women’s Forum Staff Member Professional Development Scholarship @ $250. One or more staff members will be awarded Professional Development Scholarships (each for $250). Though staff members have access to tuition reimbursement and even sometimes travel funds, the Women’s Forum would like to fund two professional development scholarships for staff members. All applicants must be female and must be a fulltime regular employee of Clayton State and must have been a fulltime employee at Clayton State for a minimum of one year. The application deadline is the Monday after the week of Spring Break during Spring Semester.
